Swades is a drama movie written, produced and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Star cast of this movie includes Shah Rukh Khan, Gayatri Joshi, Kishori Balal and Smith Seth. Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Mohan Bhargav, Gita was played by Gayatri Joshi, Kishori Balal played the role of Kaveri amma and Chiku was played by smith Seth. Mohan Bhargava is a Non Resident Indian working as a scientist at NASA. He had been a student at the University of Pennsylvania an lvy League school. Twelve years after in the US, he decides to get back to his village, in India to discover his nanny, Kaveri Amma, with whom he has lost touch. Along the way he meets a nimber of interesting people from the village called Charanput where kaveri Amma now lives there’s the village postmaster eager to know more about e-mails and he Internet while also having a keen hobby of wrestling the former freedom fighter who teaches history at the local school and is a lone voice of reason amongst the village elders there’s also a cook who harbours ambitions of opening a dhaba on a US freeway and looks in Mohan an opportunity to get a visa.
